A good lash extension candidate has the following:

  • healthy eyes

  • non-sensitve skin around the eye and lash line

  • fairly straight lashes (curly lashes are a bit more challenging to work with, but still can be done/MAY TAKE MORE TIME.)

  • healthy lashes (extremely short and/or fine lashes can be more CHALLENGING + more damaging.)

Lash Extension pre-care:

  • come to your lash appointment with clean lashes- any makeup on the lashes can interfere with the adhesive's ability to bond properly which can result in lashes that don't last as long.

  • plan ahead so you can clean your lashes before the service time starts, if you come in with makeup, your technician may spend up to 20 minutes cleaning your lashes instead of applying them. The less time she spends cleaning your lashes, the more time she has to apply them.

  • come about 15 minutes early to your first appointment, this gives you time to fill out a consent form, go to the bathroom, and consult with your technician.

  • wear comfortable clothing, bring head phones, plan to zone out and relax, even take a nap; you will be laying down for up to two hours depending on the service you are getting. Your lash artist will be concentrating on creating beautiful lashes for you, a silent artist does the best work!

  • if you have allergies to medical grade adhesives, we will not be able to provide this service.

Lash extension post- care:

  • use a clean mascara wand to comb through and groom lashes if they get clustered.

  • avoid contact with heat 24 hours after application: saunas, hot tubs, direct sun, this will allow the adhesive to hold and set properly.

  • avoid getting lashes wet 24 hours after application, avoid soaking in shower or tub.

  • follow the advice of your professional lash artist.

  • use oil free cosmetics and face wash to avoid breaking down the adhesive bond

  • avoid sleeping on your face.

Lash Extension Do's + Dont's:

  • DO specify what style of lashes you would like when making the appointment so your technician can plan the appropriate time to serve you.

  • DON’T remove eyelash extensions yourself.

  • DO bring head phones if this will help you to relax and keep your eyes closed for up to two hours depending on the service you are getting.

  • DON’T rub your eyes

  • DO get fills every two-three weeks for the best results

  • DON’T pull or twist lashes. This may cause your natural lashes to fall out.

  • DO your research before coming in for your appointment, a prepared client is a comfortable client.

  • DON'T hesitate to ask questions.
